Thursday, July 21st, 2011Massachusetts added 10,400 jobs in June and the unemployment rate was unchanged at 7.6 percent, said the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development on Thursday. According to the state, preliminary job estimates for June show a total of 3,235,100 jobs in Massachusetts, an uptick of 10,400 jobs. Of those jobs, 10,300 were added in the private sector. Stamford dentist Tatiana Barton suggested starting a dental technicians program at the University of Connecticut. “They have an employment rate of 100 percent nationwide,” Barton said.
