Stephen Bull has been President & CEO of the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce, Western Connecticut’s Business Advocacy Organization since January of 1999. Before becoming President he served as Vice President of Membership Affairs for four years responsible for Membership Development, Governmental Affairs and administration of the Chamber’s benefit portfolio.

Prior to coming to the Greater Danbury Chamber of Commerce Stephen was Vice President of the Greater Norwalk Chamber of Commerce for 7 years and was in charge of all affiliate Chambers including President of the Wilton Chamber of Commerce. Before getting into association management he was a District Issues Coordinator for a Republican Congressman in the 18th congressional district in Westchester County NY.

Stephen is involved in a number of community and civic organizations including Directorships in the United Way of Western Connecticut;Danbury Lions Club; Housatonic Valley Economic Development Partnership (Co-Chair) ;Danbury Housing Partnership; Ancell Advisory Board;The Regional Workforce Investment Board; Junior Achievement and the Mayor’s Economic Incentive Task Force. He also serves as Vice President of the Connecticut Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and as Vice President of the American Association of Chamber of Commerce Executives and on the President’s Advisory Council at Fordham University

Steve earned his BA in Economics/Political Science and his MBA from Fordham University in New York. He also completed a six-year program in organizational management at the University of Delaware, which is sponsored by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce. Steve is originally a native of Briarcliff Manor New York and now lives in Danbury.
